REVIEW: lynch. - I Believe In Me (PV) (2011)

lynch.'s first release on a major label.

Repetative, in your face, completely uninspiring. I haven't listened to them since THE AVOIDED SUN in '07 and with this I don't feel like I've missed anything, but yet I still keep my eye on them, patiently waiting, maybe hoping.

Major shifts rarely do -anything- beneficial, musically, for bands. It was foolish of me to get my hopes up. I will say that it was better second and third time 'round, but that isn't the most positive of things to say.

★☆☆☆☆

Someone wake me up when they release another ecdysis or liberation chord

  1. I actually loved THE BURIED though, no? lizard, unknown lost a beauty etc.

I just feel weird because they're now a 5 member band and Junji has been replaced by meth.'s old bassist. Doesn't feel as lynch.-y maybe? D:

  2. I promised a friend that I would give them another shot and I do intend on tackling THE BURIED, but they just sound really samey to me. I think the biggest problem is Hazuki's voice, and when they so often feel more like Hazuki & Co rather than lynch. ... :/

    You're definitely right though, it's weird that they're now a five-piece!
